Recommended minimum PC specification

CANTABeclipse 4 is designed to work with Windows® 7, so any PC that is capable of running Windows® 7 should be able to run CANTABeclipse 4. The system requirements are:

• 1 Ghz or faster processor
• 2 GB RAM
• 1 GB free disk space

Other requirements

• Microsoft Windows® XP, or Windows® Vista, or Windows 7®
• 2 free USB ports, or 1 USB port and 1 serial (COM) port
• Sound and display adapters capable of supporting Microsoft DirectX® 9.0 or later, and speakers
• For certain tests, specific audio hardware is required. For the most up-to-date information, please contact us.
• Touch screen with compatible Windows® drivers (for Windows® 7, this must be a Windows Touch compatible screen). We recommend a screen size of between 9″ (23 cm) and 17″ (43 cm) if you wish to make comparisons with any CANTAB normative data, as using a larger or smaller screen will impact on movement times.
• Screen drivers must be capable of appropriate mouse emulation under Windows®. Each touch, not release, must immediately register as a left mouse button click at the location touched. The driver must not implement special behaviour for double-clicks, drags, or other modifiers. Cambridge Cognition can supply tablet PCs with suitable integrated touch screens.
• Press pad (for use with some of the tests) is supplied with CANTABeclipse for licenses containing tests which require it.
• Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browser, to display reports correctly.
